Downtime

Downtime is a powerful tool, but can be confusing to organize and write up. To assist the players in feeling confident that they are supplying the storyteller staff with the appropriate information, I've made up a brief template to be used for the monthly downtime reports. Monthly downtime reports should be turned in no later than two days prior to the next game session so the storyteller staff can give them the proper attention and response.

The general template is as follows:

By way of example, lets assume that I was submitting a downtime report for my character Sunset. It might look something like this.

Player Name: Shawn Jackson

Cam Number: US 2006057776

Date Covered: April 2007

Character Name: Sunset

Resolve: 2

Action: Research demonic summoning circles in the Domain.

Pull: Intelligence (3) + Academics(3 + Research Spec) + Equipment(+3 Library) = 10

Handoff to: Personal

Action: Spy on Polaris in bat form.

Pull: Dex (4) + Stealth (1) + Equipment (0) = 5

Handoff to: Personal

Action: Keep tabs on Biker Gang in Oakland.

Under the action heading, don't be afraid to be specific in the information you are actually looking for. The better we understand what you're after, the better we can send out a prompt report that covers what you were looking for.
